“720 Degrees” showcases contemporary jewelry works from six artists who are in the early stage of their careers including Jiye Yun, Jongseok Lim, Saerom Kong, Heeang Kim, Sunyoung Cheong, and Jina Seo. The participating artists are currently based in various parts of the world embracing the possibilities of the new materials, ideas, and innovated methods of creating. This pop-up show was a part of SNAG’s annual exhibition event, Adorned Spaces.
This exhibition was organized to celebrate an institutional partnership between University of Kansas (KU) and Kookmin University. This special exhibition showcased contemporary metal and jewelry works by three Korean artists who studied at KU and three KU faculty members.
Colorful Minds represents contemporary jewelry artists based in Canada and the United States. These artists explore an enameling technique by introducing contemporary interpretations of the historical medium. The participating artists are Jessica Calderwood, Sunyoung Cheong, Aaron Decker, Aurélie Guillaume, Zachery Lechtenberg, Hannah Oatman, Jina Seo.
